Higher Education Resources and Opportunities for Exceptional Scholars a NJ Nonprofit Corporation was incorporated in the State of New Jersey on August 10, 2009 with the intent of applying for non-profit status under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. We are in the process of applying for recognition as a tax-exempt organization. Please consult your tax advisor about the tax deductiblity of your contributions.
Open to all HEROES members and their families. Our annual pool party & BBQ is our social event of the year, with 300 people attending in August 2009. Activities include: swimming, ping-pong, badminton, Wii, games, socializing and lots of food.
HEROES members and their families get together for board games and socializing with other HEROES families in their local area.
HEROES members have gotten together for other special events such as Movie & Pizza, RU Women’s Basketball and Outdoor Laser Tag. Other scheduled events include Rock Climbing and Romeo & Juliet.
