Higher Education Resources and Opportunities for Exceptional Scholars a NJ Nonprofit Corporation was incorporated in the State of New Jersey on August 10, 2009 with the intent of applying for non-profit status under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. We are in the process of applying for recognition as a tax-exempt organization. Please consult your tax advisor about the tax deductiblity of your contributions.
Open any HEROES member who is either currently taking or has already completed Calculus. This group will study differential equations, linear algebra and complex variables under the direction of Monmouth University math professor, Dr. G. Boyd Swartz. On-line meetings will be held once a week and the group will meet in Lincroft, NJ once a month. Special arrangements can be made for students who are not able to travel to Lincroft. Meetings are expected to begin in February. Meeting times will be determined based on the schedule of the members who pre-register.
Open to any HEROES member. This non-credit on-line Study Group will be led by HEROES parents Colin Li and Ram Unnam who taught Introduction to C++ at HEROES 2010 in January.

Elizabeth Hough, Director of Summer/Winter announced that HEROES 2010 that Rutgers will again be offering Summer Scholars Scholarships for students who have not yet graduated from high school. Many HEROES members take advantage of the opportunity to take classes as non-matriculated students via Rutgers Continuing Studies. p>
If students express and interest in working on research or with a mentor when they complete their application, HEROES will attempt to assist in finding a suitable match. If HEROES finds a potential match, the information on the opportunity is provided to the parents who may decide whether they wish to pursue the lead. In no case does HEROES provide information about its students to outside entities.
